The charter
What I do not publish.
Six rules. They have not moved since the first day, and they are the only reason this is worth reading.
If a piece is wrong, the note says so. If I am wrong, write to me and the note changes.
- Nothing sponsored. No one has ever paid to appear here. There is no rate card, and there will not be one. If that ever changes, this line changes first.
- Nothing written by a machine.Every note is typed by hand after reading the piece. A summary generated from a headline is not curation, it is compression.
- No link I have not opened. If I only read the headline, it does not run. Simple to say, and it is what costs the time.
- No press release dressed as news, unless the release is itself the event. Company announcements are tagged so you can filter them out.
- No affiliate links, no tracking parameters.Links point at the source, clean. I earn nothing when you click.
- No takes on the day's outrage. This is a file you can search in a year, not a feed you check every hour.
Held to it every morning.
417 marks so far, since 20 April 2026, none of them sponsored.
